There comes a time when awareness arrives like a slap to the face; this era we are living in is such a time for most of us. We have worked hard, preserved our good values received from those who came before us and done very well for ourselves. Yet we find ourselves in a world gone mad, threatened by bloated government bureaucracies intent on redistributing the fruits of our labors while controlling our medical care and our daily lives to the nth degree!
The absurd interest rates and degradation of our currencies combined with an under reported and out of control inflation rate are decreasing our quality of life at a startling rate. Freedoms that we once took for granted are now lost or will be lost in the next few years.
The destruction of the planet continues at a frenetic pace; there are now more global conflicts than at any time in history driven by radical religious views and scarcity of resources that threaten to engulf the entire world. Political correctness has become tyrannical in its’ reach and we are one event away from total anarchy.
If you have come this far and this resonates with you, by all means continue. Being the eternal optimist, I find the following sentence difficult to mouth never-mind put into written form but none less it is true. We have in fact reached the much talked about and maligned, Tipping Point; where the public is voting for the party that will give them the most “Free Stuff”. I posit the following quotes as to where the Republic stands today:
“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to lose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.” Take your choice Tytler or Tocqueville . . . AND
“The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.” –Cicero – 55 BC
I know you’re out there, I can feel you. I know that you are afraid and should be so. I don’t know the future, I am not here to tell you ‘how this is going to end’ I am here to show you ‘how it’s going to BEGIN’!

An American investment banker was at the pier of a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large yellowfin tuna. The American complimented the Mexican on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them.
The Mexican replied, “only a little while.”
The American then asked why didn’t he stay out longer and catch more fish?
The Mexican said he had enough to support his family’s immediate needs.
The American then asked, “but what do you do with the rest of your time?”
The Mexican fisherman said, “I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siestas with my wife, Maria, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine, and play guitar with my amigos. I have a full and busy life.”
The American scoffed, “I am a Harvard MBA and could help you. You should spend more time fishing and with the proceeds, buy a bigger boat. With the proceeds from the bigger boat, you could buy several boats, eventually you would have a fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to a middleman you would sell directly to the processor, eventually opening your own cannery. You would control the product, processing, and distribution. You would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City, then LA and eventually New York City, where you will run your expanding enterprise.”
The Mexican fisherman asked, “But, how long will this all take?”
To which the American replied, “15 – 20 years.”
“But what then?” Asked the Mexican.
The American laughed and said, “That’s the best part. When the time is right you would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich, you would make millions!”
“Millions – then what?”
The American said, “Then you would retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siestas with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos.”
The fisherman said, “I already have all of that”. “You’ve lost your way”!
The overriding moral being you can have it now“, Do It Now”
